The red microwave oven has gone beyond the sole purpose of cooking magic popcorns. Now, it is already one of the appliances which the kitchen cannot afford to not have. This is because it perfectly complements our very busy lifestyles as it can dramatically decrease the time that meals are prepared by more than half. However, this is just one of the primary features of a red microwave oven. If you still do not own one and are considering adding it to your collection of kitchen appliances, then you have to take into consideration various factors before making a purchase.

The first thing that you have to consider is the microwave’s power and size. Its power is measured in watts, and higher wattage means faster cooking time. When it comes to power, choose the one that will match your particular needs. If you will be doing a lot of reheating plus a little bit more, then go for the models that offer at least 800W. When it comes to size on the other hand, there are very compact models and there are those designed to cook larger quantities of food. There are also models that double as convection ovens and these are the bigger than the normal large capacity red microwave ovens.

When choosing a red microwave oven, you have to consider where in your kitchen it will go as well. Will it stay put on the kitchen counter? Will it have its own customized space by the cabinet? If you have a very easily customizable kitchen, then built-in microwaves are going to be perfect. However, if your kitchen happens to be very spacious and you need a lot of cooking capacity and more features other than simple reheating, then countertop microwaves are going to be the better option. If you like to save a lot of space, under-the-cabinet models are excellent.

Different types of microwave ovens also have different power levels. When selecting a red microwave oven, choose the one that offers a minimum of three power levels, namely Low/Defrost, Medium and High. Of course, if you find a particular model that has more levels, then it’s going to be better because it can have a wider range of functions. There is also the type of red microwave that has convection technology. This particular microwave has a heating element as well as a fan which helps circulate the air for better cooking that can match that of the standard oven. However, it is also significantly larger and around 100 or 200 dollars more expensive than the standard oven.

Many microwaves nowadays have new technologies incorporated in them. An example is the SpeedCook function. It is a technology that uses halogen or quartz light for heating food three times faster than the conventional oven without having to preheat. This particular feature can give you ultimate convenience and can help you save a lot of time when it comes to preparing meals. There is also what is called the inverter technology which, like the turntable, helps ensure that the food is cooked more evenly.

The red microwave has indeed become a necessity in every household. It helps make our lives easier and more convenient like no kitchen appliance has ever done before.
